Smart Hotel Management are experts in hotel management and specialise in developing and managing hotels in Athens and Greece. We are a husband and wife team and have an established network of hotel contractors and suppliers in Greece. Over the years we’ve developed an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the locations in which we work.
Afrim and Emily are an international family and travel frequently between their offices in London and Athens.
We believe that it’s important to have a good understanding of the local environment –regulation, local customs, how to attract and develop a first class operational team, reliable local suppliers and of course how to negotiate the best deals! Marketing knowledge is crucial – knowing which type of visitor comes to your location and how best to attract them. We are proud that we have the experience and skills required and can develop and manage hotels at the highest level.
We are currently managing two hotels; both we have converted from empty office buildings into the successful hotels that they are today. The first hotel was an empty office block for five years previously. This is a small hotel which we manage with 20 staff and caters for both business travellers and tourists. Having found great success with the first investment we were lucky enough to find another opportunity close by. Again we converted this building creating a grander and more luxurious hotel appealing to a more upmarket traveller. Although in the same neighbourhood, the hotels are quite different and we find that they are both successful with clever marketing to their individual customer segments.
